The story behind the coin

The portrait side reads CHRISTIAN X KONGE AF DANMARK and carries the visible date 1916. On the other face, three lions occupy a crowned shield framed by curved ornament, with 2 KRONER below. The paired source photograph records both sides of the same design, including its lightly worn silver-colored surface.

Which side is heads?

Heads
Christian X facing right, with 1916 near the lower edge.
Tails
A crowned shield with three lions and 2 KRONER beneath.

A different coin. The same fair toss.

The artwork changes, but every virtual toss still has a 50/50 chance of heads or tails. We simulate the movement; the result is chosen independently. This is not a simulation of the physical balance of a historical coin.
