The story behind the coin
This 1908 two-markkaa coin belongs to the Grand Duchy of Finland period. The eagle side contrasts with a plainly lettered denomination side: 2 MARKKAA and 1908 inside a wreath. We retain the photographed toning and the historical imperial emblem rather than substituting a modern Finnish design.
