The story behind the coin
Wisconsin’s 2004 quarter groups a cow, cheese and an ear of corn above the word FORWARD. This agricultural reverse is a distinct design, not a recolored version of another quarter. WISCONSIN and 1848 appear at the top, with 2004 at the bottom. This is a circulating commemorative 25-cent design. The images are the Mint’s uncirculated examples, paired by issue from its official page; they do not document a single worn coin taken from circulation.
Which side is heads?
- Heads
- George Washington facing left, with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST and QUARTER DOLLAR.
- Tails
- A cow, corn and cheese above FORWARD, with WISCONSIN, 1848 and 2004.
A different coin. The same fair toss.
The artwork changes, but every virtual toss still has a 50/50 chance of heads or tails. We simulate the movement; the result is chosen independently. This is not a simulation of the physical balance of a historical coin.
