The story behind the coin

The paired photograph shows Helvetia wearing a long robe, holding a spear and resting a hand on a shield marked with the Swiss cross. Stars encircle her figure. On the other side, 2 Fr. and the date 1980 sit inside a tied wreath. The source identifies the coin as copper-nickel; its warm photographic appearance is retained without recoloring it to a uniform silver tone.

A different coin. The same fair toss.

The artwork changes, but every virtual toss still has a 50/50 chance of heads or tails. We simulate the movement; the result is chosen independently. This is not a simulation of the physical balance of a historical coin.
